As a young child we played a game called “Tag”. The purpose of this playground game was for the child who was “It” to chase all the other children until they touched another playmate who became the chaser or the “It”. That game causes me to realize just how many of us God has chosen to be “it” in the world.
I will never forget the cold early morning hours of April 29, 2019 when I was rushed to Mercy Hospital by ambulance so very close to death. With blood clots swirling through my heart and only semi-conscious I believe this was God’s chance for me and so many other people to witness His amazing grace, salvation and healing in spite of death’s unwelcome appearance. Needless to say, I was spared from a deadly outcome.
Despite our weakened conditions be the physical, mental, spiritual, or otherwise, we are saved daily. He overrules death who comes for us in the most unexpected ways. But when we can’t fight God steps right on in. He has a purpose for each of us. I am thankful He still has a purpose for me. A way for me to show the world His power, grace, and omnipotence.
We often find ourselves searching for our purpose – the meaning of our lives on earth. We work, watch and wait never realizing that our struggles and overcoming of them is giving meaning to our lives. Just by living positively we are fulfilling the purpose God created us for. Our commission is to let the world know how great God is. We must tell others what God has done for us and trigger them to do the same. By doing so we live on purpose, therefore, fulfilling our mission. Don’t wait ’til the battle is over! Put your spin on God’s victory and praise. After all, He has touched your life in so many ways. Aren’t you glad you’re “It”.
